Center for imaging the dynamics of neural circuits
We are an in vivo imaging platform dedicated to studying the dynamics of neuronal circuits in rodents and non-human primates.
The challenge
Many major questions in the field of neuroscience require mapping the long-term dynamics of neural activity, at large scale but with cellular resolution, in the behaving animal. The ongoing revolutions in the field of functional imaging, with the spectacular development of photonics and the design of new probes, now open up this possibility. The mastery of these technological breakthroughs in different animal models critically determines the competitiveness of our research teams.
Our solution
To meet this challenge, we created the CIRCUITPHOTONICS Center: a platform for in vivo imaging minimally invasive neural circuit dynamics in rodents and non-human primates (NHPs). Its originality lies in the deployment and co-design of innovative imaging technologies with a single objective: to monitor the emergence and plasticity of functional circuits during development and their dynamics during behavior, in healthy and diseased brains.
